For a LOT of us, The American Dream is DEAD.
Home ownership isn’t all it was cracked up to be, with constant repairs, depreciated values, property taxes, and options to move limited by resources and jobs!
Stuck.
In the same job.
In the same rat race every day.
In the same town.
Not living life!
Retirement? WHAT’S THAT?!? With very little savings (see home ownership above) and NO pension fund for a HUGE portion of us, we will be working well into our 70’s, unless forced to retire.
Forbe’s Magazine / Suze Orman:
When asked about her financial fears, Orman said: “My only fear in life, when it comes to money, is what’s happening in the United States of America. The American dream is dead for the majority of America.”
The dream she is referring to is not even a Cinderella story; it’s much more practical. Orman believes the hope of someday owning a home, of working one job for life and retiring at 65 has been crushed by the financial crisis. “The middle class has disappeared,” she continued. “We have a highway to poverty and no roads coming out. I fear for [those] who have been kicked out of their homes, could be living on the streets and don’t know how to get another job. Many of the millions of jobs lost I don’t think are coming back. I am really afraid for the majority of Americans today.”

Redefining the American Dream
Predictions are that up to 60 percent of Americans will be renters of their homes, not buyers, as the new American dream grows.
“It’s a dream where you live below your means but within your needs. You are not spending every penny, you are not impressing people. You are living a life where you can sleep at night and you are actually happy.”
Well, WE have decided to start modifying and building our NEW American Dream and Modified Retirement Plan! And encourage YOU to open your mind a little and consider the possibilities!
